Industries

Where polymer media run out of road.

High temperature, high differential pressure and corrosive chemistry are the three conditions that put a metal element on the line. Below is what each of those duties asks of an element, what we build for it — and, in every case, what we will not claim.

  • Continuous service to ≤600 °C
  • High differential pressure and backwash duty
  • Corrosive and HF-bearing streams
  • Washable and re-generable

Six Duties

Pick the one that looks like your line

Each one has its own section below: the duty, the envelope we build to, and the point where we stop and say so.

The Duty Envelope

Four figures decide the element

Whatever the industry, the same four inputs settle the alloy, the structure and the welding route. They are also the four things we ask for before a price is given.

  • Temperature

The peak, not the average, is what we design to. It sets the alloy and the welding route, and it is the first figure we ask for.

    Alloy · weld route

  • Differential pressure

The ΔP the element carries decides how many support layers sit behind the rated medium, and how the end caps are welded.

    Support layers · end-cap weld

  • Corrosion

What flows through decides whether 304 is enough, or whether the duty needs 316L, titanium or a nickel alloy.

    Alloy · surface treatment

  • Cleanability

An element that is washed or baked and re-used is built differently from one that is discarded. This is where the running cost sits.

    Structure · medium choice

Chemical fiber melt line, filter housing in service — placeholder 720x480, to be replaced with the real photograph

Chemical Fiber

Melt filtration runs hot and it runs continuously. The element is cleaned and put back on the line rather than thrown away, so dirt-holding capacity and re-generability matter more than the purchase price.

Where the element sits On the melt line, ahead of the forming stage
What it removes Gel, char and particulate carried in the melt
Temperature Continuous service to ≤600 °C — send your peak
Rating we quote Sintered fiber felt, 0.5 – 50 μm
Form Pleated cartridge · cylinder · disc
  • Felt elements at the fine end of the range, where the dirt load is highest.
  • Washable and re-generable construction for lines that clean elements on a schedule rather than replacing them.

What we do not claim here We build the element, not the housing or the forming stage. Where the interface belongs to your machine, send the drawing and we build to it.

Petrochemical process unit with filter housings on the line — placeholder 720x480, to be replaced with the real photograph

Petrochemical

High pressure, aggressive streams and long runs between turnarounds. What decides whether an element reaches the next shutdown is the support structure and the weld, not the rated medium alone.

Where the element sits Process and utility streams on continuous duty
What it removes Catalyst fines, scale and corrosion products
Temperature Continuous service to ≤600 °C — send your peak
Rating we quote Sintered wire mesh, 2 – 200 μm
Form Cylinder · cone · disc · sheet
  • Rigid multi-layer mesh elements that keep their pore size under high differential pressure.
  • Alloys beyond 304 / 316L — titanium and nickel alloys — where the stream attacks stainless steel.

What we do not claim here PED-coded pressure equipment is not our scope. We supply the element that goes inside the vessel, not the coded vessel itself.

Semiconductor gas panel with a filter element removed for inspection — placeholder 720x480, to be replaced with the real photograph

Semiconductor

UHP gas and liquid duty is set by standards well above the grade we hold, and by suppliers who have qualified on your tool for years. Most of the work we do here is matching an element that is already qualified.

Where the element sits Gas and chemical delivery lines on process tools
What it removes Particles in UHP gas and liquid
Temperature Continuous service to ≤600 °C — send your peak
Rating we quote Quoted to the element you are replacing
Form Cylinder · disc · sheet, matched to the original envelope
  • Elements reverse-engineered from a part number, a drawing or a used sample.
  • 316L, titanium and nickel alloys, with surface finish and cleanliness confirmed per inquiry rather than assumed.

What we do not claim here We do not claim SEMI-grade UHP cleanliness, 9-log retention or ppt-level dry-down. If your specification needs them, we will say so at the first call and point you to a supplier who has them.

Hydrogen electrolyser stack and titanium filter elements — placeholder 720x480, to be replaced with the real photograph

Hydrogen / PEM

Hydrogen duty is corrosive and often high-purity at the same time, which is exactly the combination titanium is chosen for. Titanium is also the part of the material market where our own supply base is strongest.

Where the element sits Gas and water circuits around the stack or the system
What it removes Particulate and corrosion products from gas and water circuits
Temperature Continuous service to ≤600 °C — send your peak
Rating we quote Quoted per duty — the weave or the felt sets the opening
Form Disc · sheet · cylinder, in titanium
  • Sintered titanium felt and mesh elements, formed and welded in house.
  • Pore structure and porosity set to the specification you supply for the stack or the system.

What we do not claim here A porous transport layer is set by the stack maker’s own material specification. We quote that duty only where we can meet the spec, and we say so plainly when we cannot.

Battery slurry and electrolyte filtration skid — placeholder 720x480, to be replaced with the real photograph

Battery Slurry

Slurry and electrolyte lines are where polymer cartridges stop working: the chemistry attacks them, and they cannot be baked out and re-used. A metal element can.

Where the element sits Ahead of filling, and on the recovery loop of the same line
What it removes Electrode particulate and metal fines in slurry and electrolyte
Temperature Service to ≤600 °C, including bake-out regeneration
Rating we quote Sintered fiber felt, 0.5 – 50 μm
Form Cylinder · disc · pleated cartridge
  • Felt elements that hold up in the chemistry where polymer media break down.
  • Regenerable construction, for lines that bake an element out rather than buy a new one.

What we do not claim here Metal-ion control at the ppb level is proven by your own analysis, not by a supplier datasheet. We supply the element and its batch record; the acceptance test stays yours.

Cleanable stainless process line in a pharma or food plant — placeholder 720x480, to be replaced with the real photograph

Pharma / Food

The medium has to filter without shedding. An all-metal element has no polymer and no resin binder to give up, and it can be cleaned and re-used between campaigns.

Where the element sits Liquid and gas duty on cleanable lines
What it removes Particulate — from a medium that must not shed fibre or resin
Temperature Service to ≤600 °C, including steam and clean-in-place cycles
Rating we quote Sintered fiber felt, 0.5 – 50 μm
Form Pleated cartridge · cylinder · disc
  • All-metal construction, with nothing in the element that can be extracted into the product stream.
  • Washable and re-generable elements, dispatched with the batch bubble point and permeability record.

What we do not claim here We hold ISO 9001. FDA, USP Class VI and 3-A certification are not ours to claim — if your supplier audit requires them, we will tell you at the first call rather than after it.

Before You Switch

Six things that stall a decision

These are the reasons buyers give for staying with the brand they already run. Each one is answered with a figure, not with a promise.

What stalls it How we answer it
The import brand costs too much A replacement element runs 30–40% below the brand it replaces — same medium, same welding standard, no import-brand markup.
Lead times and slow answers Drawing review in 3–5 working days, production in 30–60 days. There is no head-office approval chain between your question and the engineer who answers it.
Batch-to-batch consistency Bubble point, air permeability and precision are measured on every batch in our own testing lab, and the record travels with the dispatch.
Documentation and certification Every dispatch carries its batch test record, and ISO 9001 is the system we hold. Material certificates and project-specific certification are confirmed per inquiry rather than assumed.
Not knowing which medium or rating Send the operating conditions. An engineer selects the medium and issues a drawing for your approval — about 30% of our orders start with no drawing at all.
Small orders and one-off spares MOQ runs from a few pieces to a few dozen, and a sample order is a few pieces. Samples take 20–30 days and are charged to new customers.

Tell us the duty, not the part number.

Temperature, medium, pressure and flow are enough to start — an engineer reads it, names the medium, and tells you where the duty exceeds what we can build. If you already have a drawing or an OEM number, send that instead: it is the faster route to a quote.
